Dutch and Indian companies and authorities work together to prevent pest nuisance

Ronald van Grunsven, managing director of PestWatcher B.V., and Joshua Rao of Pest Control India Pvt. Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding in India on 6 June, which promotes the cooperation between both companies in their fight against pest nuisance. PestWatcher hereby acts as a supplier of materials and Pest Control India as a pest management company. Martin van der Bent also signed the memorandum on behalf of the NVPB (Dutch Pest Control Association). The NVPB, as a knowledge organisation, is closely involved in the cooperation and control of pest nuisance.

The starting-point of the memorandum is a sustainable policy for the prevention of pests in an economically feasible way. For PestWatcher this is an important step, because pest management will change in many ways in the coming years. Technology (Internet of Things) plays a great role in this. Pest Control India has experience in the field and with IPM, Integrated Pest Management. PestWatcher is strong in technology, protocols, planning and structure.

Less biocides
By combining forces and sharing experience and knowledge, the signatories can combat problems and the effects of pest nuisance and promote public health in this way. A second objective is to reduce the use of biocides and switching to sustainable pesticides. The cooperation provides for general work instructions, methodologies and materials that contribute to pest management.
